Temperature for Saphire 4850--1 GB

have the Intel DPSG45 witn an intel e8500 processor and Saphire 4850 1 GTB graphics card---I have been following the skyburg thread and noticed that some folks had posted temperature profiles that showed their graphic cards running much cooler than mine--

mine runs about ~60 C--- Everst sensor values below.

Question is the GPU temperatures in the normal range? The local company that built my system ( I beleive they are very good) tell me that this temperature is normal for this card---The catalyst CC center shows the fan at 50% of maximum

Re: Temperature for Saphire 4850--1 GB

Hello hawkeyelom!

If you install AtiTrayTools for example, you can adjust the temp/fan-rpm profile.
The default values of temp for 100% rpm are somewhere around 100°C.

I have an 4870X2 and this card IS HOT, and i think it's the same with the 4850. I switched to watercooling to get better temps and noise level. The card simply got too loud even when watching a dvd. Playing games was only possible with headphones.

Greetings

Dru
