Question Which vid to go with

I just want to know which of the new lines of vid cards to go with?
Nvidia or Ati?
Which model of either one of the two?

well, since nvidia makes all the ge force chips, you'll get them either way
it al depends on how much money you want to/can spend..
the gf3 is the king of the castle right now, but costs a sh**load..
the gf2 gts is a fairly good buy im told nowadays, and is probably your best bet,,,,i use a geforce 2 mx...kinda a neutered gf2 gts....
werks fine for all my games, and runs REALLY nice
tho i must add the ATI Radeon has a lot going for it, and isn't that
expensive at the moment...
thers a lot of variables. i would suggest doing a lot of reading on the current video cards, and make a decision, when YOU know what you want and need...course, opinions always help

Thanx Cryo,

What i meant to say in the post was ATI and Nvidia...my bad :o
I was leaning towards N Vs Ati, ecause of what I have been reading. The clock speed on the gf3 is threw the roof but the ratings show that there is another card out there that out performs the gf3 in a couple of areas. I don't know, maybe I think I will splurge and go for the gf3 anyway! I forget which card it was but will go with the flow and hope it keeps going smoothe!!!

Nvidia if i'm not mistaken also uses DDR. I talked to them on the phone and they also use 3dfx's fsaa which they bought the rights from So either way you win when it comes to DDR!!!
