| No problem. Regarding your question, there are pros and cons to each one. 939 is dual-channel and the newer platform. There will be better options if and when you decide to upgrade later on. 939 boards can be a little quirky, meaning they are not always user-friendly. But they support AMD's fastest processor, the FX, while 754 boards do not. 754 is a single-channel platform. Plenty of people use 754 systems and are quite happy. But the upgrade path won't be as good as 939. In terms of cost, a 754 system would probably be a little cheaper. |

| Go for 939 socket mate for futureproof upgradability and the slight benefit of dual channel technology or for Socket 754 for the cheapest solution and no more new cpu's on the horizon. All depends on budget, use of the pc and if you buy each year a new one or each 2 years. I opted for 939 and prices are dropping for the 3500 series cpu which would deliver plenty of OOOmmph for your games.

| Yes, 939 is the way to go. I wouldn't even consider the older 754 socket.
