Re: AMD Phenom to Phenom II Upgrade Article from Corsair

I have been happy with my recent AMD builds lately.

I used Asus M3N78-VM motherboards in three systems.

1st gaming rig using a 720 cpu overclocked to 3.5Ghz

2nd gaming system for the wife using a 7750 cpu running at 3Ghz

3rd just build one with 7750 cpu again but installed Linux Mint 7 and have it hooked up to my HDTV ... work in progress.

Re: AMD Phenom to Phenom II Upgrade Article from Corsair

In my opinion the current AMD stuff is not "bad" like it is made out to be in some enthusiast circles. It's just that Intel is doing some things way better. But, AMD is catching up. And, I believe that we can thank AMD in part for inspiring Intel to give us what they are today. If not for AMD pushing them and gaining significant market share a few years back, Intel may still be trying to sell us Netburst CPUs.
