Looking for a netbook

Going on week-long vacation on July 10th. I'm editor of an auto magazine, Administrator of 5 websites (one of them I'm the only staff & it's fairly busy) and was just hired as managing editor of a local weekly newspaper. I really need a vacation but I need to keep in touch. I'm looking at Wal-Mart's Acer 10" for $298 Anyone have suggestion or tips on selection. I've decided I don't deed disc since it will all be just internet but am I wrong about that?

Re: Looking for a netbook

Been using the Asus Eee PC 900. Its reliable and the screen is good quality. Keyboard is not too small, although I wouldnt recommend trying to write your autobiography on it.

I think the experience would persist across the Eee PC range.

Some info here and also here

Re: Looking for a netbook

I just recently got the Asus 1000HE (380USD) and replaced the 1GB RAM stick with a 2 GB RAM stick (20USD). I immediately put Win7 RC on it and it runs great. Screen is very nice. Battery life is EXCELLENT. I am very happy with it.
