Am going to try that base setting of 133 Multi at 20 and Memory set to DRAM 1600 In the meantime I have set the CPU multi to 16 andthe BCLK to 219 Which gives me a CPU overclock of 3.5 and even with the RAM defaulting to a 6x Multiplier-----That high BCLK gets me a little over 1300 DDR at CAS 8 So....better But I'm worried about the high BCLK and QPI link and wheter this would even be stable....

Did not fix the I/O Hub I/OxAPIC Interrupt Controller (for me anyway), I un-installed it re-installed it and then loaded the chipset inf again and still have the problem. I was not going to bug Asus this week about it, But, I have that Techs name and e-mail address and come the end of next week, I am going to start bugging him for a conformation. I found this on the PQ5. I did not see anything in the bios for it. But, I only have a ATAPI drive off the ICH10R. I loaded the program and took it off. I really did not read much into it. Just looked at that article fast. Bjorn3d.com -ASUS PQ5 Deluxe P45 Eaglelake Motherboard, Satisfying Your Daily Tech Cravings Since 1996 Did it help your Memory?

| Re: ASUS P6T Deluxe (x58/ ICH10R) Holy Smoly The new BIOS fixed the issue..... I can now set a DDR speed in the BIOS and she won't crash Am experimenting now and will tomorrow.... So far a BCLK of 180 and CPU overclock of 3.6 and DDR 1440 seems very stable All timings are defualt at CAS 9 I'm going to use Muskins Recomended CAS 7 timings tomorrow Give it ago....and I'll let you know. Thanks for the help!!!

I was thinking of suggesting you should test each of 6 sticks single. What a pain that would be. I am very happy for you. I know how you been planing your build. It really stinks when something holds it up. I have been there ~ more than once.

| Re: ASUS P6T Deluxe (x58/ ICH10R) WOW!----the new Bios have helped a TON with this RAM!!! Am at CPU overclock of 3.6 CPU Multi 18x BCLCK 200 DRAM voltage at 1.64 (recommended by Mushkin) And I'm at CAS 7, 1T-----with the RAM at 1600!!! I have no idea whether this is stable though----but it boots and runs fine----I'm typing this on it now. Want to tweak my voltages back down a little and then will run stability tests. Temp at Idle using AI Suite is around 45 C

Killer settings! I don't think you will have any stability problems with the CPU. How did you get x18? Are you using a bios OC profile. I am working on some manual voltage setting. After, I will do some stress testing. I just don't like them on auto. But, from my readings, ASUS has them worked out well.

| Re: ASUS P6T Deluxe (x58/ ICH10R) To get to 18----I just changed the "CPU Ratio Setting" in BIOS from Auto to 18----and I'm using Manual for the "AI Overclock Tuner" setting While the 920 is locked at 20 for for GREATER than that... It appears you can go DOWN from 20 Lower Multi and Higher BCLK allows me to get to 1600 on the RAM----and still have a not too crazy overclock on the CPU (3.6) Went Skeet Shooting with my two sons home from college----so I didn't have a lot of time to play with it today.... Will try tomorrow.

But, you did something that no one on the XtremeSystems Forums could do. You made me think that maybe I was under-dogging this system a little. So I worked on my settings. I disabled power management and started fooling around. When I manually set all my voltages, I did not like the way my 3.3V and +5V looked. So I put them all back to Auto. I increased my overclock and have been testing for a while now with no errors. I Looped both 3DMARK06 and PCMARK05 while simultaneously running Prime95 3x each. And, I am now still running Prime95 plus 2 Orthos with the new settings. My Max CPU temp hits 65C at the peak. The only thing I am concerned about is that at peak load, my 3.3V will drop to 2.26V. Do you think I should be concerned about that? Here are my new settings. I think when I enable power management, things will be fine. I increased the UCLK one level

| Re: ASUS P6T Deluxe (x58/ ICH10R) 65 C at peak when stressing everything sounds about right from what I've read.... And NOBODY will ever run their machine using all four cores at peak load (for any length of time anyway)....so that 65 C will be temporary at best.... with 130 W processors----I think that is kind of the norm nowadays..... My AMD 9850 Black (130 W) runs even hotter than that----with good cooling Power management will also help..... My plan is to overclock----get that stable----then deal with some of the poer mamagement stuff.... I have set up Asus Q-Fan in the BIOS for all my fans to run off of temps (speed up or slow down based on the temp profile.....) Fan Xtra does the same thingwith even more control----but I don'tknow how it links with Q-Fan----or even if it does..... Abit used to have an excellent BIOS/windows linkup for fan control that worked excellently to control fan speeds and keep noise down..... I'm hoping Asus has just as good.

| Re: ASUS P6T Deluxe (x58/ ICH10R) johnrr6 I keep my Q-Fan disabled. I don't know, maybe I call it white noise I have a real powerful rear exhaust fan. I really don't hear it. But, I am half death anyway.I been drinking coffee and testing. It is sold as a rock at my new setting. Maybe that new bios helped me too. I could run 3.6 before, but I needed more DRAM V to go where I am now. I needed a 1.6+. I have no heat spreaders. I was thinking about installing some. But, I looked at it and believe I have more airflow this way. I put a more powerful draw fan on the top of my case. The old one needed replacing anyway. My sister has two old Lady's computers for me to work on. They say they are slow. I am not looking forward to that. I can play with this all night long. But, that sh-t is painful. I retired a few years ago. Almost my same ABX date. So she thinks I have all the time in the world. Hey, don't think I am real old. I am 50 this Jan. Any opinion about my 3.3 going 3.26V? Think I am stressing my power supply? My 12V rails (only one Rail) are great. On the other forum, they are doing anything for an OC. I see that many are disabling HT. The multi-core is one of the # one improvements. Well one day, maybe I will run a S PI too. I would have thought we would have had a few more people on this thread by now.

| Re: ASUS P6T Deluxe (x58/ ICH10R) What Shal said.... Chuck is it drooping to 3.26?? Or all the way to 2.26?? Big Difference.... I just ran a shade below 17000 for 3dmark 06 but had tremendous stability problems....until I found the culprit.... Turns out it had nothing to do with the CPU or Board..... The darn PowerColor Graphics card (HD 4870 1 Gig) comes set from the factory already at overclocked settings......and was totally unstable until I reset it through Catalyst Control Center to a tad above the standard clocks for that card. Mine is now 790 Core and 910 for memory and it now is very stable...... But I may return the card because it doen't meet what they advertise-----even if it does do better than "Standard" Will see when I do further stress testing....
