Intel Socket LGA 1567 Pictures Leaked

Intel Socket LGA 1155, 1156 and 1567 Pictures Leaked

Quote:
The chip maker will soon update its Core i7 processor lineup with the addition of the new 975 model, which comes clocked at 3.33GHz and is to become Intel's new flagship model. However, the upcoming Core i5 processors might be a bit more appealing to the public, as they are basically designed for the mainstream market segment.

Um, that appears to be what's basically dummies of packaged CPUs (the interposers with, I guess, an actual size IHS mockup). So we actually don't see anything of the sockets at all.

I'm hoping that intel is smart enough to recognise the misteps that AMD did a few years back and doesn't throw a bunch of socket revisions at the public in too short of a timespan.

Re: Intel Socket LGA 1567 Pictures Leaked

Whistle pig is out of the laboratory. He's trying to sniff out where the lost pins are. He has a bunny suit on with a pancake on his head. He says, he is
incognito. I guess he's worried about Intel finding out, about his sniffing around......................

I cant make any sense out of OP's picture. Is that a CPU with pins on top of it?

Basically, yes. Though it's likely there's no actual die beneath the heat spreader and the interposer is used to test the electrical and signal properties of the socket they're placed in.
