| hi i am not sure if this is the correct place to put this question, i have just purchased a ACER Travelmate 533xc laptop it has 2.ghz cpu installed but it is only showing 1.2ghz on CPUZ and only 1.2ghz on System Properties, i thought perhaps Bios Problem,it is on v1.4 can any one advise please to get the full 2.ghz any help would be appreciated, Thanks Borris12 |

| Re: laptop Hi borris12, welcome to the site! Sounds like Intel's speedstep technology. Try benching the system with something intensive running (like a game) and check the CPU speed then; it should ramp up to normal.

| Re: laptop thanks for your reply, i do not use games at all so can`t really test like you said, by what you say everything looks ok, is there any other way i could test the CPU, borris12 |
