| Re: *** Nirvana i7-980X *** DBoone read some of NewEgg reviews by 400+ people who use Ceramique ....... Newegg.com - Arctic Silver Ceramique Thermal Compound - Thermal Compound / Grease One reviewers comments...Other Thoughts: In combination with a Cooler Master TX3.This stuff works great. My opinion compounds like this are designed for uneven base surface.Like direct contact heat pipes and such that have valleys to fill in.Main reason I chose this over AS-5 and very glad I did.The fan and this compound gave me a 22c drop in max temp under prime95. Was 62c with stock fan/sink and masscool stars 700.Now 42c. Idle wasn't a big drop.(However it brought me to within 1 degree over room temp) Avg room temp 25c idle temp 26c. For flat smooth pads I'll stick with AS-5 but for unlevel pads ceramique is my new best friend. Now I'm curious as to results after 200hrs of cure?

| Re: *** Nirvana i7-980X *** So far but can't say for sure the sweet spot may be 44OOMHZ. Thats with voltage under 1.4 which Intel says is the safe limit. And with a high bus of 200mhz and low temps. The 4400 is looking more and more like a 24/7 speed to run. Its stable with 1hr OCCT Linpack, further testing will bear it out. Another pic of 4400mhz.....

| Re: *** Nirvana i7-980X *** Well I got a nice surprise, I'm able to run 4600mhz with OCCT Linpack!! 17 min's into a 1hr. run....Just hoping it will finish without error. I have my voltage meter plugged in and reading 1.412 safe voltage for the 980X.. I'm starting to use some of RIIIE's very nice oc'ing features/tools.

| Re: *** Nirvana i7-980X *** Looking good, I've been using Ceramique for years, the best part its non conductive so for a guy like me who's a little messy its a must!

| Re: *** Nirvana i7-980X *** Here's what the R3E has allowed me to achieve, as a stable sweet spot for 24/7. Running i7 980X cpu, 12GIG Mushkin RedLine. I can get higher oc. but I prefer 42gig as it uses less Vcore voltage. Also this oc is running with a high bus speed 0f 200mhz I've posted this in the R3E thread also...

| Re: *** Nirvana i7-980X *** I am very impressed with your build but am still shocked that Windows Experience only gives you a 7.8 for three Vertex SSD's in RAID 0 .... I wonder if anybody can get a 7.9 rating on hard drives?
