| Hi guys, This might be a stupid question, but I'm pretty new to overclocking. If I have a p3-1Gig (133Mhz) chip and the CUSL2-C Black Pearl motherboard, can I overclock it? The board supports FSB of 66/100/133. If so, what speed/quality/brand memory should I get? PC133? PC150? Should I try playing with the FSB speeds first or upping the voltage? I bought a good case, plenty of fans, and a high-end heatsink so I'm prepared to protect against the heat factor. Any suggestions to help me get started would be great and I appreciate any help you guys might be able to give. Thanks again. Lothar |

| 1st, do a search here and in the Pentium OC forum, there are many, many threads dealing with P-3 1GB OC. That being said, my P3-1GB does 1125 (150 fsb) at 1.75 vcore, no problems except the AGP 2x, lower memory settings, BIOS "bug". The search I suggested will yield all sorts of solutions to the "bug" and other problems you may or may not encounter. Simply put, go into BIOS setup at boot (del key), change the FSB to what evere the chip can handle, use conservative memory settings at 1st, you're good to go. If you're not sure where these settings are, RTM.

| For the cusl2-c, Mushkin, Crucial memory work best with this mobo. I use one stick 256 rev2 Mushkin, works great for overclocking. Heres a Mushkin link http://www.mushkin.com/cgi-bin/mushkin.storefront Last edited by Sir Skully; 05-27-2001 at 07:59 PM.. |

| Mushkin is slightly better than Crucial from the results I have seen here. There are no stupid questions just stupid answers.
