Which processor to replace old P4 Prescott?

I have an old Dell GX280 with the CG815 motherboard. According to Dell, it came with a P4 Prescott 2.8Ghz LGA775 1MB L2 800Mhz FSB.
However, Dell is not so great for getting information, such as which processors are supported by this motherboard. So what's the fastest processor I can get to replace this old one? 3.4Ghz? 3.6Ghz? 1 or 2MB L2?

Thanks in advance for your help.

This is probably your best bet. (If they actually have them in stock)

I appreciate the reply, but that listing is for a 478-pin processor. Mine is a 775. The cache size seems small, too.

John----Is there any way you can look at the BIOS with one of the BIOS tools---see what processors the BIOS are set to support.

If the BIOS aren't able to recognize a higher processor----it probably won't work to upgrade regardless if the chip fits the socket.....

Maybe one of the BIOS guys on the forum can help....

EDIT: maybe this thread will help: Dell Optiplex GX280 Upgrade Question

Aw, geez, I'm sorry. All I saw when I looked at your post was "old P4 Prescott" and immediately assumed it was a S478.

Have to pay better attention...
