| Re: Who is still running a S478 Pentium 4 system as their primary rig? I'm still running a PIII dual 1 ghz as my main system although I do steal time on my son's dual core puter since he hasn't found himself a new place to live yet since getting married(he is staying at his inlaws place lol) Hopefully before too long I will have finished building a quad core system to replace my trusty 7 year old PIII system.

| Yep! Me too. Mine is doing OK, (see my setup below) but I don't use it for gaming. I am putting off a new build for a while...as I think I will be OK with the productivity I need for about a year. I just ordered a new 22" Dell monitor; I hope my video card will work with it.

| Re: Who is still running a S478 Pentium 4 system as their primary rig? Not as my primary rig as I have now moved on to Vista. I do, however, still use one as my primary XP rig. Cheers |

| Re: Who is still running a S478 Pentium 4 system as their primary rig? Asus P4C800 Deluxe, P4 3.0Ghz, 4Gb OCZ, 3x 250Gb WD drives, 2x ITb eSata drives, ATI 9800 pro, Audigy 2 Platinum, Sony DRU-510. Tri boot setup Xp, Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 RC 7100. This system has been solid since I built it back in 2004. However, it is time to pass this baby on and build a new system. Question is build now or wait for 32nm CPU's??? |
