Guru help requested

This score in 3d Mark 06 seems weird to me. My CPU score seems really low. I have overclocked my E8500 to 4.0 and it this looks really slow. Any help here? My system spec's are below.

I have no idea how good your score is as I do not play with 3Dmark. Is the score lower running at 4 Ghz than it was at 3.8 Ghz? If so your CPU is overheating and is declocking to protect it self. What are your CPU temps under heavy load? Intel Burntest is a good program to apply an extreme load to your CPU. Warning if your CPU overheats damage may occur. I'd drop the overclock down to a more moderate state before giving IntelBurnstest a try. To monitor CPU temps Realtemp is a good choice. If CPU temp gets over 65C stop testing at once! I'd guess since your are overclocking you already know about CpuZ. If your CPU is declocking you should be able to see the multiplier being dropped.

Re: Guru help requested

Thanks wonderwrench, with a duo core and single GTX 260 they are pretty good.
Actually I have higher scores than ever due to a higher OC thanks to a new MOBO. I just thought the scores were out of ratio. I am running a program called "core temp" to watch my CPU, all is well, 29c no load and up to 63c fully loaded. I think I have my GPU to the tip now and I thought my CPU would score better, I guess not. It is ancient, 15 months old. Does the CPU number compared to the GPU number seem freaky? And yep I know about Cpuid- CPUZ thanks, great utility for those that don't know about it.
