Alright! Didn't want to be acused of cheating. Re-ran the tests from yesterday @ 1024x768x32x32 and got 5091. I guess that's respectable for my stock set-up? Once I figure out how to publish I'll provide a link.

I had the same problem at first.

You'll need to use the tweaked bios to get your motherboard to 140 and above fsb. Their are other ways but in win2000 its the only one I know of that works.

Here's a link to thread that explains it. Basically they took the stuffpcr tweaks and incorporated them into the bios. So with the tweaked bios you should have better memory scores and be able to over clock to 140+fsb

1st ?: it should, the difference between the cusl2-bp and my cusl2 is that mine as integrated video(useless for me).
2d ?: i'm using a vice3 extreme coolerclick for link to post on my vid card cooler
3d ?: no, i had not heard of this method to increase voltage. i'm glad you found it, i'll have to study it to see if it might allow me to max out the card even further.

crash- your good with the webpage work, i have yet to master the formatting capabilities and methods using geocities "pagebuilder" prog (though its a fairly basic web-page builder). look forward to seeing your site after you complete the construction.

i'd be glad to prepare a more formal review and walk-thru of my modding but i'm not sure that i can do a proper presentation in html format. the best thing for me would be to prepare a word doc with the write up, send it an the photos to you for translation to html, your skills seem 100% better than mine in that area.

I did some 3Dmark2001 testing today:

1st run: 2223 3Dmarks

2nd run with Detonator 21.81 XP drivers: 2307 3Dmarks

When I compare my result:

Same video: 12 points below the same card

Same CPU: 12 points below PIII 900

[EDIT]

I did some tweaking of unneeded Xp-services and stuph:

2364 3DMarks

a whopping 2% gain on both CPU and video comparison.....

Let's OC the video... that should do better I hope...

[EDIT2]

I Oc-ed it to 181MHz RAM and 200MHz GPU...

2610 3Dmarks... a superb 12% gain from the 2nd run

So I'm up 12% on CPU and Video comparison

Any further suggestions?

Specs:

ASUS CUSL2
PIII 733@916
166.66Mhz FSB
256 MB Mushkin rev3+
Geforce2 MX 32MB AGP 4x 200MHz GPU 181 MHz Ram

i'll email it to you when done.

tranced-
what vid oc'in utility are you using and what are your settings for agp, anisotropy,aa,compatibility, depth buffering, textures, and v-sync?
i'm back to using nvmax (it is easier to adjust settings than riva tuner 2) plus it was recently updated to 3.00.62. here's a link to some very good recommended settings: click here for optimization/tweak guide

btw, current 3dm2k1 score is 6187 click here for for specific results
