Question

Is 3DMark2001 the best benchmark to run? What about Video2000?

Just thought I'd ask.

Video2000 is pretty lame. Just shows you a bunch of test images and asks you which one looks good. Plays a quick movie or two.

Yawn :o ...

Yeah, its definately a solid board. but i might be switching out to try something that gets a little higher fsb. If the Dragon had VDIMM it would be perfect.

Me too, it's a great board for stability, but that Shuttle AK35GTR is looking pretty sweet, I've had 4 RAID mobos and the Highpoint controller could take an overclock the best, the lack of voltage adjustment for memory on the Soyo is a bummer....

sweet, I was thinking about looking back through them to see where mine was, now I know.

Kaz,
I've been looking at the Shuttle or maybe the Epox 8kha+ but alot people are talking about some strange bugs on the Epox. Oh well i guess every board has its quirks.

That's probably the best I can do since I won't push the system any higher. System sure ran stable and clean at those speeds.
Using the 23.11 drivers and the same setup above, scored 8120.
The drivers were faster for me on overclock.

if your looking for new via 266a board, check out the soyo k7v, soltek sl-75drv2, asus k7v266-e. they're all better overclockers (via various site reviews) than the two you mentioned.

Cad,

I have the soyo now but there is no VDIMM or VIO adjustments.
The soltek i need to look at.
I love asus boards but the a7v266-e kinda scares me right now, and its more expensive.
