I think I know why now. Your 3DMark01 scores are higher than mine due to OCing your CPU (your 3.2 ghz vs my 2.5) and memory. (plus your memory is probably set at tighter timings than mine, mine is set @ 2.5, 4,4,7)

I think (generally) 3DMark01 scores are higher w/ increased fsb and with higher CPUs, than w/ 3DMark03, which is more video card dependent.

I OCed my CPU to 2.81 (148fsb) and memory @ 370DDR, leaving the 9800 speed the same, and this barely raised my 3DMark03 scores, but it took my 3DMark01 to 15,188. (vs 14256) When I just OC my 9800, it does little to increase my 3DMark01 scores, but really increases my 3DMark03 scores. Thus I score more points in Mark01 by increasing my fsb than I do from OCing my 9800!

Since Mark03 is more video card dependent, my Mark03 scores are higher because of OCing my 9800. Today I scored 5981 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=713138 This is w/ OCing my CPU as above and OCing the 9800 to 432 core & 360 memory clock speeds. I think I can go a little higher and break 6000.

Just run it @ 4xAGP m8, the increase from 4 to 8 is hardly (if at all) noticeable.

Stability is much more important..

It's alive...I think I've got the H20 to the vcard solved! Here's the best of a rough, early series of test.
