Re: * 3x120gig OCZ SSD's in RAID-0 *

Of course I'll let you guys know how it goes!
I have to make sure that I get it all together correctly, and you guys have already done it, therefore I MAY be asking some questions...
I'm not a noob, I just have never done a RAID lol.

How exactly do you update the FW in these bad boys? I read on SuperTalent's site about some USB thing, but I don't really know how to.

I don't get them for a couple of days but I want to learn before I have them!

Here is a comparison in speed after a week of use. The one on the left from last week. The one on the right from today.

seems like your speeds have gone up......I think the performance degradation issue is blown up to be bigger then it really is...with the TRIM software, performance tweaks and newer firmwares most people will not see any issues for a very long time (8-10 years)

You noticed that hey. I agree I think the performance loss is blown out of proportion.

I tend to agree, hell I've had mine over 2 mos. And all these SSD's have done is gotten faster. Its not the SSD's, its the people who do not read and study the tweaks. Then turn around and misapply the FW. I've seen them over at OCZ forum. Carping about there's to much to read, and or to confusing.. All the utilities and FW they put out, to me its all good.....

OCZ's forums do have a LOT of information (almost too much)...but I can see why people get frustrated though because there are way too many threads to read over there and some of those threads have not been updated to reflect newer information...for a newcomer to SSD's I did a lot of reading to educate myself but I also found OCZ's SSD forums a bit overwhelming

Yeah it can be if ya don't stick with it. I'm the type if its there I'll find it, sooner or later. My real asset is, I have the time to dig-in, and find my
answers.

I disabled my page file the other day, I wonder if that has something to do with the increase in speed.
