'bigtoe' --> Intel + Memory question

Would DDR400@2-2-2-5 be faster than DDR480@2.5-4-4-7 in refference to bandwidth and overall?

You need to be at 260fsb 2.5-4-4-7 to beat 2-2-2-5 async.
2.5-3-4-6 would be another matter though.

What about BH-5 memory, how high is a safe voltage on it? Because, my Corsair XMS PC3200 is BH-5 and is happy to go up to DDR480@2-2-2-5!

2.9V is safe but then nobody runs it at that. Most people who run BH-5 know that for it to shine it needs 3V and up as you raise the FSB

My position regarding overvolting ram is this.

The more you put in the quicker it will die...over 3V its life gets shorter very quickly.
