........getting the Buffalo this week. A Friend is letting me try it for a review....I'll let ya know how it does..............

Not necessarily so. And this is coming from someone whose seen XMS3500 do DDR504, 2-2-2-5 - albeit on only one board so far (4PCA3+).

On many boards 5:4 is broke so you have no choice but to run 1:1. At maybe 270 fsb and up, it is good for 3000-3200 unbuffered at 3-4-4-8. Many people would be happy with that.

I assure you, it will beat 5:4 and 2.5-3-3-6, where you will most likely see 2400 unbuffered.

The 4200EL should clock very well.initial results show ddr550+ easy.Please remember this is not guaranteed.

We have worked to try and get TRP and TRCD down to 3 at ddr500 and some modules may do this with ease.It also runs 2-2-3-5 (or worse 2-3-3-5 dependant on board) at ddr400, so you could call it universal ram.

I will have samples VERY soon and will report what i find.

PC4200 that does DDR400 tight.. now that would be something to see... PC4200 based on same IC's as PC3500 Gold ?

Not yet..its on the way to me as i post this. I should have it next week.

I have pretty much given up on the max3 untill i get firm word that they have adressed the issues I have pointed out to them in a new bios.I still however love the IC7 and im now having very nice results with it.Even though i have 2.8Vdimm max.

Nice 3DMark score, my 9800 doesn't go futher 435Mhz even w/ a 1U slim copper cooler. 2.8C@ Ghz?
