Exclamation P4P800 and 222 Ram timings Issue

Hello,

I have the P4P800 combined with Mushkin PC3200 RAM. My ram is rated for 222 but I can't boot with those timings. I have to relax them to 233. I called Mushkin and they say that the P4P800 might have issues running ram at 222 but I've been hearing mixed results, some can run at 222 others can't.

So my question is, for those who can run at 222, which bios are you using? What's the deal with my board? Is there a setting that I have to set in order for the board to accept 222 timings? Please help. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem on my P4C800 D, only with Corsair modules. Installing the latest BIOS solved my problems.

You could also try increasing the DDR voltage to make your memory run more stable.

My recent result:
P4P800, P4_2.4C, PC3200 BH-5 4x256MB, at 2-2-2-5.
BIOS 1009.004. Vdimm given 2.85v(2.99V by multi-tester)
Turbo Enable, MAM Enable.
See the picture;

PS: with Vdimm at 2.55V(2.67V By tester)still fine at DDR476
So P4P800 is no problem at CL2-2-2-5

newer corsair and mushkin may require 2-2-3-5 or 2-2-3-6 timings to work properly
