| pc180 ram available pre-tested pc180 ram 3,3,3 is available from - http://ocz.safeshopper.com/11/cat11.htm?761 for anyone wanting to push it to the max. if you're not using the modified bios from X86-secret.com yet everyone should try it out. for the first time i feel the cusl2 is living up to it's potential with this bios. everything works as it should at settings over 140 fsb. my ram settings and 4x agp actually stick and test perfectly. 150/150/37 with no voltage change and only 2 degrees C increase in temp! everything works, boots and tests great!! |

| OCZ has a bad rep with users on this forum. Hope you didn't buy any from them. You are better of with Mushkin or Crucial on the CUSL2 series boards.

| hi guys i'm back! the ram i got from ocz is excellent. runs the same as the muskin rev2 i took out. 150/150/37 cl2 2,2,2 5/7 no sweat at all. the spd rates it to 166 cl3. and the 2 sticks of 256mb were only $55 each. (i paid $500 for the mushkin not too long ago) both mushkin and ocz score 455/529 in sandra mem test. both the muskin and the ocz fail to load winblows over 150 fsb. might be my p3 i don't know. both post to 160 fsb and beyond, but whats the point if there's no boot. sorry to burst the mushkin bubble. the ocz gladiator hs/f is ok but no better than the hedgehog i was using. both 45C after 10 min in bios 36 idle mbm5 |

| Hey mj, Glad you had a better experience than others have had with OCZ! As far as Mushkin or other quality memory holding anyone back from going over 150FSB... I doubt it is the ram. I can get my Rev2 to post and load windows as high as 157 FSB at CAS2! The limiting factor at speeds around 150 or higher tend to be heat related or limited by the chip itself, not the fault of the ram. I easily run a 256MB stick of Rev2 at 153FSB, 222, 7 9 with only air cooling the CPU. (See my spec's below.) Many using a peltier or water have got it higher. You may get more FSB with just one stick installed too! 512MB is overkill for most users anyway. Glad the OCZ worked out for you mj.
