Many abXzoners had or still have the CUSL2-C and always refer to it as an outstanding board. Greetings Dru

| Re: Windows 32-bit max RAM ?? Well you don`t have to run 64-bit if you have 4GB of ram. You can run 32-bit if you like. As for the advantages of 64-bit in a home desktop user, well not much. Only if you run specific programs and virtualization as it was said in a previous post. The disadvantages are more. You have to see if you have driver support on all devices, including peripherals, and you have to see if your favourite programs are supported in 64-bit. In any condition if you your devices & programs are supported then you should go 64-bit, whatever memory amount you have, even if it`s only 2GB. Not that you`ll see some improvement with 64-bit on 2GB but you`ll be ready for more ram in the future, if it`s needed. Personally I use mostly 32-bit and some 64-bit. It`s a pitty I run software that it isn`t supported in 64-bit and more over I have some pci cards, scanner and printer that run perfect and I can`t use them on 64-bit. But if you build a whole new system then most of the recent devices, if not all, are supported by 64-bit, so it`s only left to see if your programs too.

| Re: Windows 32-bit max RAM ?? im using 64bit ultimate with 4gb and really dont think its very memory taxing, with the cpu/memory widget on my vista home basic 32bit i was seeing around 22-24% at idle, and now with the 64bit ultimate im seeing around 26% really not that big of a difference considering all the ultimate extras like dreamscene, aero, sidebar all running at once. also i benchmarked my laptop before and after the 63bit upgrade and its definitly worth it, if you can utilize the 64bit processing its DEFINITLY makes a difference its not all hype, like before with my 32bit home basic, i benchmarked my cpu with passmark and got a math integer score of 160 points, then i did the same benchmark and only difference was the 64bit upgrade and seen a average of 420 points on the math integer, along with numerous other spikes in benchmarking points, and as a overall performance score i seen a average of around 100points difference in ratings between the 32 and 64bit OS. i was definitly pleased with the overall performance gain with the 64bit. |

| Re: Windows 32-bit max RAM ?? FWIW - 8GB really lets Win Vista 64bit FLY. On the minus side, it eats up ~1.3GB @ startup (sidebar, AV, Firewall, plus several other utilities for overclocking and monitoring).
