| I've tryed just about anything to stop both a dlink-530TX PCI and a linksys PCI from causing a long pause before windows GUI boots up. I only use 1 NIC in my CUSL2-C. for PCI i have in there a connextant pci 56k modem and a sound blaster live x-gamer package all on non shared slots. If i dissable the nic driver in windows this system boots up in a flash. If the NIC in inserted with no drivers..i do not have any delay in booting up. Any ideas on how to fix this without resorting to hunting for yet another new nic as i feel it will do it to all of them.. regards... |

| Common cause: Windows is trying to resolve a DHCP IP address from a server that does not exist. Solution: Assign your NIC card an IP address. -SSZ |
