| Re: Looking for a 1st class forum with focus on networking and servers The same as this one once was. Spawn I think I have 10 - 12 posts at petri. I don't deal with much of the server stuff, but it is a good site with some very knowledgeable people...

| Re: Looking for a 1st class forum with focus on networking and servers Are you talking about the Announcement thread? The New to the Forum announcement? There is no way to disable that. Or I haven't found a way... ![]() ------------------------- Or are you talking about the Posting Rules box that I see at the bottom of every page?

| Re: Looking for a 1st class forum with focus on networking and servers I know it's along time ago again. But you need some credit with your answer. The link you gave me was so important to me, because it actually offered me the leads to start a daunting task which I succesfully completed: Installing, implementing and configuring a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise system and Exchange Server 2007 SP1 Enterprise, with virtually all roles and other features installed: AD DC, Terminal Server, IIS, DNS, GPOs, ForeFront for Exchange etc. etc. I took me 1 1/2 months to get it done (late nights and weekends) in December 2008 and January 2009. It works flawlessly, stable , secure. I was able to do so because I prepared very very thoroughly (about 3-4 months prior to actually installing the OS and Exchange). On the hardware side I'm using HP ProLiant servers. Each 16 GB RAM with 8 X 2.5 SAS drives and two Quad processors, redundant power supplies, redundant cooling. So, I thought it's time now to give you some credit on my successful implementation. Quote:
