| Router access control by time I currently have a small mixed, wireless / wired home network. Access to the internet is via a D-Link DI-524 router which works fine. The probem is, I need to restrict access to one of the users on a time basis. The young man in concerned is "addicted" to on line gaming and although I've set up night time restrictions for his machine via both IP filtering and by MAC filtering, his sessions which are active not terminated when the filters cut in. I'm not discounting purchasing a new router with better features if this will solve the problem but router manufacturers speak a different language to me. Does anybody have any suggestions for a solution, maybe you could recommend a suitable router if you know of one ??? Many Thanks! |

| Re: Router access control by time I know that netgear prosafe line of products you can create a schedule(days and hours)Then implement that schedule with a firewall rule that will block all the ports and you can do it as allow by schedule or block by schedule. |
