Question

Can anyone see any difference running 5t, 7t vs. 7t, 9t in benchmarks or in noticeable performance increases?
I can't. SiSoft Sandra scores are identical (441/527)when running both settings. 3DMark2000 scores are about the same around 7250 with both settings. I have the stuffpcr fix installed.

PIII 733@852 MHz 155/155/38
128 Meg Mushkin High Performance cas2 rev3 2-2-2
VisionTek Geforce2 GTS 32 Meg O/C to 210/383

Hi.
It seems that some memory give same scores at different settings when they have reached the max, without giving errors. It is safer although, that you use the minimum setting. My mem scores 391 456 at 140fsb 322 7,9 and 386 something at 141 322 7,9.From 145 to 157fsb it scores the same(381 ... ) no matter what the setting is.

PIII866EB@910MHz - 2 sticks 123MB Rev3 Mushkin
FSB:SDRAM:PCI Freq (MHz): 140:140:35
With 7T,9T Mem: 408/481
With 5T,7T Mem: 415/488
System Stable (so far!!)

Page Closing = One Bank
Cmb Per Cycle = Disable
SDRAM Data Driving = Normal

With 133:133:33 and 7T,9T Mem=340/460

So far, the mem numbers sure don't change very much, however when set at 140:140:35 I do notice an over all system speed increase, however slight. Are you running one stick of Rev3? Did you do anything different from the above to get mem > 500? I'm a rank novice OC'er so any suggestions would help!

Somewhere in this forum I got the stuffpcr fix and that is suposed to improve memory scores at 140 and above and also enables 4X AGP at 140 and above. I had it installed prior to putting this stick of memory in but it did improve scores with the other memory. I would give you the link if I knew it, but I don't. Some one in this forum is sure to post it again.
Yes I am running one stick of ram.
