| Which will perform better? 2 sticks of 128 mb, cas2, PC133 ..... OR ...... 1 stick of 256mb, cas2, PC133 ? Looking at Crucial Micron (-7E) if that has any bearing on the answer. Thanks. KJ |

| Take 2x single side 128 or 1x double side 256. Because max number of sides is limited to 4

| I believe the 256MB stick will be slightly faster than the two 128's. I have one "-7E" stick of the 256 & 128 type and they work fine. They read CAS2 in SPD and in memory checker program CTSPD. Mine are both one-sided sticks. From what I've read, the 256 is faster since there is only 1 EEPROM on the 256 instead the two if you use two 128 sticks. | If the specs are the same the 256 is faster than 2x128.
