Aggresive Timings

I have two sticks of 256Mb Kingston DDR400 memory (model KVR400X64C25/256)
right now I'm running them at 2.5,3,3,6 timings,
I want to run them at 2.5,3,2,5, I don't know if that would be too agressive for my memory, Would that damage them?
what do you think?

no damage will occur.

the system may NOT boot/POST if you use aggressive timings.
then you should reset the bios after system power (and cable) is OFF!

try using 2,75v (vdimm) for your ram when using aggressive timings.

no need to manually reset the BIOS because my mobo auto reset itself after 3 failed boots,
Then I guess it's safe to increase my timings, let's see what performance increase I get

PD: I don't want to increase my voltages, it was very difficult for me to get this memory so I don't want to damage it

I had to buy this memory from newegg using my cousin's credit card because they didn't accepted mine (it was an international one).

I haven't seen this ram here in Peru, only the CAS3 one, and it was REALLY expensive, like $80 for 256MB,

jejejejejeje,
The "big" dealers here only import garbage, low-end products,
it's difficult to find some quality products

i often get people telling me

why won't this game work?
cause you've got a bad graphics card

But i've got a 64meg DDR Graphics card! isn't that good enough??
in that light, it's not hard to see why dealers choose importance of simple specs. over complicated ones....

I'm running 2-2-2-6 at 2.75 volts in my P4P800d. Zero errors in Memtest after 32 passes. It's the only setting I tried so far with this new ram I just got today. I'll try 2-2-2-5 later.

you said: 'no need to manually reset the BIOS because my mobo auto reset itself after 3 failed boots'

that sounds cool, so there is also no need to adjust the bios settings again! (favorite settings)

i hate to reset the bios...

my cpu recall feature doesn't work on my p4c800 deluxe.

well, so far it has auto reseted itself several times and the only thing I had to change was the feature that didn't let boot the mainboard in the first place , it's a very cool feature

yes, that's true, at the end, that simple feature it's what the end user uses to make a decision
