Here's a good chart telling what chips are on different brands of memory! http://www.techpowerup.com/memdb/

Thanks for the website Skully. I plan on when I get some bills out of the way, buy a pile of Crucial Ballistix memory or Corsair memory. Have heard some good things about Corsair, espicially on this website.

Your welcome buddy! That is a useful site if your wondering what chips ya have on your memory sticks. I have tried the yellow slots in 704-2 bios and it fired right into windows @ 273mhz 1:1. That's 303mhz, timings 233-10. I'm surfing the internet now @ that speed. I kinda hate to run test for stability as it most likely won't hold.

Couldn't tell you what chips my PC3200 memory has, as it is generic and made by Wintec Industries and shortly after I got it, I put heat spreaders on them. Next week, gonna try Turbo for Hyperpath, and see how stable my system is. It's stable with Hyperpath running in standard mode which gives me timings of 2.5,3,3,6. Not sure what timings I will have when I try Turbo mode.

Some things I've found with the new DFI bios I've tried all 3 and the best for my Corsair TCCD memory is the 704-2. Using the yellow slots I can get 300+mhz but still not stable. I believe it may be do to the chipset running to hot. I may try putting a water block on it. But I do get a stable 267mhz @ 1:1 @ 2937 @ 2-3-10-3 no error's in memtest, and play Doom3 with no problem. Its allowed me to lower the LTD Bus and NB volts to default. This has been the best bios I've found so far for my set-up 3700 SD!

The yellow slots either your memory works or it doesn't. But it does work in dual channel.

I read nothing about yellow or orange slots in the skimpy mamual. I know in most cases its the orange slots. Cause the yellow slots don't work in dual channel with that type of memory. But this case * it works * in 704-2 bios with my memory. Ya can't argue with it when it works, and works great for me!!
