* Corsair not so bad after all *

I fell in and came out smelling like a rose! My 1gig of Crsair 3200XLPT I was trying to sell for like $140. No one bought them! They would not play nice in my DFI nf4-d mobo. Well it turns out I wasn't using the right bios. I flashed the 510-3 bios yesterday, thought I'd give the Corsair a try. Set the bios for 10x290 and she fired right into windows, done a Sisoft, superpi, and she's holding so far. Tried 300mhz and can get into windows, but unstable maybe some tweaking. I have removed the 3200XLPT from sale, needless to say. Corsair say's these memories have TCCD chips, maybe so. I can also get 222-5 up to about 235mhz, the 290-300nhz @ 2.533-8.

I hear ya! You may need to flash to the 510-3 bios to see a good oc with the Corsair. I've never had a use for 2 gig.

Hmm, I've never seen memory before that can run with timings like that. That must some really good overclocking memory.

Sir Skully, have you tried bumping the DRAM Voltage a little bit to see if you can get stable @ 300 MHz? You could also try loosening your timings a tad, since it seems like you have quite a bit of headroom in the timings area with that memory.

Yeah I've done all those things! 344-10 timings & 3.2v I can get 314mhz but not really stable. Maybe some more playing with the timings to get stable @ 300mhz.

I'm using n4d704-2 bios seems to work well. I tried 704-3 it was a no go. Another good one is 618-3. I hope you get some good oc'ing #'s with your new Corsair.
