Yes, Kingston only has double sided HyperX at 512MB. Anything lower, (256MB) and it is single sided. I just may bite the bullet and grab two 1024MB kits (2-512MB in each kit).

Also did you test Buffered or Unbuffered?

I was trying to say i tested and drew my own conclusions way before i saw the white papers...i was VERY supprised they backed up what i found.

Edit from your post i saw you used 4 single sided Vs 2 double sided.from my testing and the white papers.

4 double sided is fastest
2 double and 4 single is second..

I think we may see 2 doubles is actually a little faster than 4 singles...i will have to test.

I heard from my supplier today. They DO have 2 x 256 of Corsair CMX3500c2 revision 1.1. So those have the BH5 chips. I am tempted. I have a friend who is doing well on those dimms.

Lovingbenji. OCZ never offered me the option to ship back through my supplier. My supplier is 20 minutes from me.
Why can't OCZ work it through the supplier anyway so we can avoid the shipping costs?

SpecMike. I think the misunderstanding is that I am a large person not large numbers of persons

LOL....you can not go wrong with good Winbond BH5 chips. If you are a fan of tight timings as opposed to high FSB that XMS3500 may be the way to go.

Now, I just need to save my $$$ and get another gig of the PC4000 or just wait and see what happens if realdieu gets 2 gb of DS 512s.

Hey big toe, when are you guys going to show us what the 512 stix can do. I realize that they don't grow on trees but that would be great to see and + you got the hook up!

Mike.

Well if BigToe is right and I have a board that can't get past 220mhz at 1:1 anyway, I may as well have the Corsair's tight timings, right?

I would say yes Croc. There is a guy over at HoH right now with some 3500 claiming to be running 2,2,2,5 with a 3.0. He does not indicate an OC but if he is getting those timings he is one of the rare ones. He's using a P4C800 E tho.

At any rate, whatever RAM you end up with, I hope you P4P800 guys get that OC thing worked out.

Mike.

I tightened up my timings on the D875PBZ from 2.5:3:3:8 (Default) to 2:3:2:6. I jumpered pins two and three on the CMOS jumper and manually changed the settings. Ran Sandra burn-in and all checked out ok. Added about 100 or so to my memory score but still fell short of my original two 512MB HyperX memory sticks...

Please remember that was on my bios modded P4P800D which doesn't overclock as well but DOES have full PAT.

The board is faster than the P4C800D im testing at the moment.

Also that was at 2.85V..no VDIMM mod..

damn now I'm ******.... I have the P4P800D with XMS3700 and I can't RMA the RAM...

my system won't even boot past the bios if I try to enable MAM/"PAT" or do anything past the stock/basic timings or clock speeds (2.4C proc.)

Right now I'm running bios 1009.004, I have an antec 400W PSU, and the only other devices on the system are a chaintech GeForce FX5200, audigy 2 platinum, and an avermedia capture card. Drives are a liteon CDRW, pioneer DVR-A06U, the live-drive, a panasonic floppy, and maxtor hdd. I can't think of anything that would be causing these problems.

BTW my modules are 2x 256MB (dual channel config.)
