| Crucial Memory Questions Hello all, This concerns the following PC and it's Crucial PC3200 memory: Intel D875PBZ mobo BIOS P34 Intel 3.2 cpu 800mhz fsb w/ht 2X512 Crucial PC3200 ddr400 Seagate 120gb sata 150 Enermax 470w psu SB Audigy2ZS ATI Radeon 128mb 9800pro 256 bit Plextor 708A dvd burner CoolerMaster Praetorian case XP Home SP2 The memory currently in this PC is 2X512 PC3200 Part # CT6464Z40B.8T2 I want to upgrade the total memory to 2gb by using 2 more sticks of 2X512. I used the Crucial memory tool and it comes up with part # CT6464Z40B. I contacted Crucial about the extension 8T2 and they wont tell me exactly what the difference is other than it will work and that it is correct for this mobo. I don't doubt that it will work but I queston how well it will work. In the wording of the 3 emails Crucial sent me I am getting the drift that what they say about it working is not 100 percent, and that there is more to this. I'm thinking that the timing may be a little different? In the bios it is showing the timing as being 3.0-3-3-8 for #CT6464Z40B.8T2 Can someone here help me identify exactly what the difference is between these two different part numbers. CT6464Z40B.8T2 CT6464Z40B Thanks....... |

| I can't be sure but doing a quick search it appears that both use the same 3-3-3-8 timings. However I did see something about the CT6464Z40B using 2.5v and the CT6464Z40B.8T2 uses 2.6v. I don't think you should have any problems unless you start to overclock and even then you may not have any.
