Very interesting. Nice to see that someone is comparing the DDR RAM that is available.

Thanks Mushkin Rules, a very informative article.
Sad to see mushkin losing out like that but it's a good thing. Competition will just make manufacturers make better products.
Hey did you have a problem getting cusl2.com on the web on wednesday ? I tried all day and had no luck getting through. I started having withdrawal symptoms after about 6 tries. Feeling much better now.

Mushkin was one of the first to sell their DDR chips to the public. I am currently testing an ASUS A7M266 and have both the Mushkin & Crucial DDR RAM. The Cruical DDR Ram is just a nose faster then the Mushkin at this point. Maybe Mushkin will release a Rev. 2 DDR that will blow the socks off of Crucial. :-)

Cool

In fact, you can see it was mentioned that Mushkin has 2nd revision of DDR PC2100. The one that is tested is the older version. I think Mushkin will improve their DDR memories. Let the DDR technology develops itself & by severe competition, the end users like us will benefit from higher quality of products and lower prices always. It's just like Intel vs AMD. Btw, Intel has just cut the prices again because AMD is out with new lower prices on TBird 1.2 GHz. AMD is also going to release lower prices for AMD Palomino 1.7 GHz. It's been reported by HWZone.it that Intel CPUs have new pricing. Here is the table with the new pricing until july 2001.
You can see 3 important things:
1- P3 will pratically die on may.
2- P3 Tualatin will appear on june.
3- P4 prices are not listed in july (maybe P4 will be replaced with another kind of CPU? Or pricing may not be defined yet...)

I guess this is because of severe competition from AMD, who cuts down the prices for TBird 1.2 GHz & also for the nice price for AMD Palomino. It's good for us, The End Users. I hope this will also happen in memory industry (lower prices always + better quality).

Yes, I tried the whole day on Wednesday & also Thursday, and it seems that this forum is gone from the web, until tonight. I hope the new server will improve & not the other way around.
