| DDR3 on an Asus P5E3 @ 1600Mhz? Hi Since it seems that DDR3 still doesn't make much sense cause of the little speed difference compared to high end DDR2 i was wondering... Is it possible to get an Asus P5E3 (supports DDR3 speeds of up to 1800Mhz) and then run a 2x2GB DDR3 PC1600 C7 Corsair kit at 1600Mhz without OCing the rest of the system, thus getting an actual DDR3 advantage in terms of speed? Obviously put aside the "funny" price such a DDR3 kit has (almost like a QX9650)...

| Re: DDR3 on an Asus P5E3 @ 1600Mhz? Hey fvbounty, it's probably early, but do you have any news yet? I'm eager to get my hands on a new rig and would love to know if this would work. I was wondering, did you get all this hardware just to try and see if it would work (maybe you've got a truckload of money ) or are you pretty confident that it will do its job?
