| Hi, I was wondering if there was a way of persuading my cusl2-c that one of my sticks is at 64MB (admitedly a ****ty generic one) and not 32 MB My dimms are as follows , 1 256MB PC133, 1 64MB PC100 and a 32MB PC100. They are all double sided and sisoft tells me they are all cas2. The 64 stick is always read as 32, no matter which slots i put the dimms in. Does this have something to do with it being double sided? I have heard there is a problem at 133mhz with double sided dimms, but as i am using a celly 600, it only runs at 66mhz, or 100, when I feel the need for an unstable 900mhz On my old BH6 there are no problems, so is this a problem(sorry, feature) with the 815 chipset? Also the Bh6 let me up the Vcore to 1.85 giving me a stable 900, which this board doesn't, so I am a little miffed with my purchase ( a loss of 32MB and 300MHz) . Though the feature set is a lot better, and I love turning on my pc with the space bar :-) It is a shame, i was really impressed with this mobo when i put one on a friends pc, and did not anticipate these problems when i decided to get one for myself. As for the 300Mhz, I shall look for some copper wire to short out the voltage pins ;-) . Anyway, I digress... So, is this problem just due to crap old generic memory, or are there any bios tricks I can use to sort it out? Many thanks C600@900 sometimes Asus Cusl2 -c 320MB 256mb cube pc133, 32mb cube pc100 64MB ? pc100 Leadtek Geforce2 MX Soundblaster Live platinum Maxtor 13 GB udma 66 diamond pro Seagate 6.4 medalist pro Winbond Network CArd PS I know 32 mb wont make the blindest bit of difference to my system, its just that I will sleep uneasy with a sense of unfulfillment till I sort this out. |
