Question

This may sound like a dumb question but...

I own a CUSL2-C. Many people have said the 815ep chipset can only use 4 sides of SDRAM at PC-133 speeds. What is a double sided memory stick? Does it simply mean that the stick has ram chips on both sides of the pc board?

I have an 128meg stick of generic SDRAM that only has ram chips on one side of the pc board. Is this classified as single sided SDRAM?

Thank you in advance.

Double sided is a memory stick with chips on both sides.
Yes, yours would be single sided!

Cool

Most Single Side Memories are produced only by Major Brands such as Crucial, Corsair, Mushkin, etc. Because it's only using one side, then in order to achieve the same capacity requires that higher capabilities & bigger chipsets be used and that more advanced technology be applied. That's why, usually single side SDRAM is more expensive than double side SDRAM within the same capacity.
