Errors in Memtest?

A couple of weeks ago I found that I had a bad stick of ram in my Pc. After a lot of switching around of modules I found one stick that was bad for sure.
The ram is Crucial Ballistix so I called Crucial and the ram went back to Crucial. According to their e-mails I should have it back Wed.
Okay so last night I decide to give the other stick still in my machine a long test with Memtest. So here is my question, how many if any errors would you consider normal? I ran it through 10 pass's and on pass 8 it made one error.

Is this stick going bad also or is one error no big problem?

MB= Asus p4p800e-deluxe
Cpu= Intel 3.2 Northwood
Ram= 2x512 sticks of Crucial ballistix
Clean install of XP last weekend

Thanks in advance

Your results are inconclusive. Also Memtest does not test all the ram until 32 pass have been made. I would rerun the test for longer and see if that the eror comes back.

Well I let memtest run over night and here's what I got.
Out of 57 passes I got 2 errors both on the same address.
Now to my original question, is this normal?

Thanks

Configure timing by SPD
DDR reference voltage=(auto)

You could try to raise the memory voltage one notch in the BIOS and then run Memtest again. You should not have any errors in Memtest at all, if you do then something is wrong.

Okay the ram is rated at 2.8v. My bios has a 2.75 option and a 2.85 option.
I tried both of those settings and the errors start up real fast. I put the voltage back on auto and just a few errors(same as before).
My Rma stick should be here from Crucial by lunch. I will swap out sticks and run memtest over night on the new stick. If I don't get any error on the new stick I guess I will be calling Crucial back for anothe rma number.

At this point I'm hoping the other stick is bad because from what I have been reading the CPU, mb or other things could be a problem.

I'll post back with results after UPS runs(probably be later tonite.

I would as a last resort try 2.65 to 2.55 even for errors. They have been a few that do not like high voltage. But errors from the same address is a sign that the stick is on the way out.

I got the problem handled.
I got my RMA'd ram from Crucial today and tested it through 38 passes without any errors. While the testing was going on I called the tech dept at Crucial. I told him about the small amount of errors that I was getting in the other stick and he said ANY errors were not acceptable. So now the other stick will be on it's way to Crucial in the morning.

That works for me and I must say I am impressed with Crucials customer service.
