fastest ram for a reasonable price (250$ for a dual channel gig) p4c800-e w/ p4 2.8c

my geil golden dragon pc3500 ram doesnt work i get a "system failure due to cpu overclocking" so im suing some cheap pc2700 ram for a few days till i can get ahold of pc3500 or higher ram, im looking at pc4000 right now. if anyone knows how to fix this problem on my p4c800-e it would be greatly apprectiated... but if not could i get some good advice? i heard corsair pc4000 would be the best choice... but id like yall's opinions.

I got a gig (2X512) of Winbond PC3500 from Hardcorecooling.com for just under $200. I think the price has went up a little but I've had good luck with this memory at 2-3-2-5. A good value for a gig of DDR 400.

I have that exact memory running in exactly the same board. I am running 267fsb with 5:4 at 8-3-3-2.0, 2.8vDimm, Turbo. Bios 1010. Memtest86 and Prime95 stable. No errors on bootup.

EDIT: I bought them reburbed at $90 each. They were not the dual pack.

ive heard it could be the memory timing numbers on the processor or something... but i really doubt it

Did you try running 1:1? Make sure it's the memory causing the boot error and not your CPU.
