| Do you have a CUSL2?Do you hit more than 150fsb? Replace greenie with a 4x4cm or better with a 4x6cm tall HSF. Don`t feel generous when you install just a bit bigger heatsink than original as I`ve seen i815E(P) needs a lot of cooling! That helps: 1st to hit more fsb 2nd to make mem be stable at CAS2 setting at higher fsb. That doesn`t mean that a module which is uncapable of CAS2 setting will be capable but it will help to get almost all the juice your module has. Now that my ambient temp gone 4C up,my mem can`t handle same fsb at 222 stable and I have to set it at 322,but when I put an extra fan close to northbridge it can.I tested and saw that lowering further the northbridge I can hit 222 at more fsb.

| You will gain higher fsb, if you put a fan on top of the Northbridge chipset. Also don't forget to cooling the ICS Clock Generator

| Do you have any Silver Thermal Compund under the Greenie? If not, it's not mulling all the heat away. My Greenie was not sitting flush on the chipset. I was only able to get to 140FSB stable. I tossed the greenie, added some Silever Thermal compund and a Tennmax Lasagna Rev. B cooler and viola. I can run all the way to 166FSB.

| Hawk, yes you have to put AS II or some other good thermal compund and have the flattest hestsink too. Can you get to 166 fsb with Mushkin 256MB rev 2 @cas 222, 5-7?

| Mushkin Rules, Yes, I can my Mushkin 256MB Rev. 2 chip to get 166FSB 2-2-2 5T,7T Strong and get into Windows ME & NT 2000 fine. Only problem is Sandra and 3D Mark 2001 lockup. All other applications, Office 2000 & Web surfing work without a glitch. I have not upped my voltage at all and am currently working with it.

| Hawk How does your Adaptec 29160 hold up to 41Mhz PCI speeds ? Any problems with it ? I've seen many people who can't raise thier FSB too high with a scsi controller. |

| With the Adaptec 29160, I have not had a problem. Most of the problems with PCI frequency is related to the video card and Network card.

| Hey Hawk, you do 166 without even put any HSF on the ICS clock generator and without upping the vcore ? Try to increase the vcore a bit (1 volt) & see whether it can pass Sandra & 3DMark 2001. Your Mushkin 256MB Rev2 must be damn good, and you are very lucky my friend. My Mushkin can do 166 cas 2-3-2 7/9 Strong(800EB@1000)by upping the vcore to 1.75 v, but cannot pass Sandra. I have to reduce the cas to 3-3-2 7/9 Strong

| Hey Hawk, you do 166 without cooling the ICS Clock Generator with HSF? Try to up vcore by 1 volt & try to run Sandra. Your Mushkin 256MB Rev2 must be damn good & you are very lucky my friend. I can go 166 cas 2-3-2 7/9 Strong but Fail to pass Sandra. Running MS Office very smoothly, just can't get pass Sandra. Is your cpu using cCO or cBO stepping? (run Sandra to know it). I have to set back to 3-3-2 7/9 Strong at 166 (800EB@1000)

| Mushkin Rules, I have a 4X4 heatsink epoxyed on the ICS clock generator. Then on the greenie, a Tennmax Lasagna Rev b. and the Southbride, a 4X4 heatsink epoxyed also. My 1Ghz PIII is a CC0 stepping. I will try the voltage think later on, looks like I blew my Thunderbird in the other machine. Gotta fix that one first.
