Angry How memory is affected by heat

Don`t get surprized if memory becomes unstable when your ambient rise.
My did by 4C(25C now) and the memory has lost 5Mhz(153 now) in 222 7,9 or that before it run 322 at 160fsb and now run at 332.
I had tested and found that at about 15C ambient,my mem could gain another 1-2Mhz at 222(probably maxed out).
The problem is rather northbridge`s heat than module`s heat.
Have you experienced anything like that?
Damn,hotter days are coming soon

I haven't watched mine that close. I'll keep an eye on the memory and see if I can see any changes as the temps change. Heatsinks hey!

that's odd, and a bummer patentman..
i haven't noticed anything like tyhat myself, however, that is not stoppingmwe from wanting to get some of thermaltakes RAM sink/heat spreaders..
check em out..might help

I think you`re running your module(s) at 147fsb,so yours are rather maxed out of chip capability at any ambient.
Memory is affected by:VIO,abient,northbridge`s temp,bios,stuffpcr/wpcredit,win version,electromagnetic fields,many many more.
At least mine,in same conditions except ambient performs worse when ambient rises.
Ambient affects northbridge`s temp and module`s temp, but as I`ve seen in my system,it`s the northbridge`s temp that holds me back.

mine run @160FSB,CL2,7-9 at all time with temp ranging from 38-50C for CPU and 30-40C for north bridge

This is what happened in my case:
Before, my 2 sticks of rams were never stable at 140MHz FSB at 2-2-2, then one day, I installed an extra fan (YS Tech 2.16W, the fan on FOP32) and blow at the ram slots, then the rams were able to run stable at 140MHz.

I fixed the problem by putting a 8cm fan to blow on memory sticks, set the northbridge`s fan to suck instead of blow, and finally put a foam tape between mem sticks and ICS chip HS-so clock gen heat doesn`t go to memory sticks.Ohh,I set VIO to 3.6V again.
When I first bought my rev3 sticks I had set VIO 3.6V to get them stable at arround 157Mhz 222,but when my ambient went to about 20C they could run stable VIO 3.4V even at 159Mhz 222.
