| Intel DP35DPM M/B & Crucial Ballistix Memory I made the mistake of buying this combination of M/B and Mem, Intel DP35DPM & Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400). The mem is rated at 4-4-4-12@2.2v. I cannot get that mem voltage on this board (1.8 is default). The mem runs at 5-5-5-18 which is a waist of good mem. I lowered the timings and could not post. Not enough mem voltage. My question is, Will this mem work OK at the looser timings and at the 1.8v default? I cannot test yet, I didn't load an O/S as of yet. I do Know that the system posts when the timings are set to auto in the bios. Thanks.

| Re: Intel DP35DPM M/B & Crucial Ballistix Memory I'd suggest testing it with Memtest86+, which runs from a bootable floppy or cd. It's a good idea to do that with any new build, to optimize memory-related settings while assuring reliable memory performance. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool Regards, -- Al

| Re: Intel DP35DPM M/B & Crucial Ballistix Memory The memory will only work on the DP35DP without problems if it is rated for 1.8 volts. People have posted about this on Newegg, and all over the web. In otherwords, a person that buys this board, can only use 1.8 volt memory in it.
