| Memory performance !!?? Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Tenth Anniversary Dual Channel Kit..... is what I have. I noticed a 10FPS difference in my Race-Sim GTR2 !!!! When I overclock my system in LINKED and SYNC 3.5...I get 10FPS less then when using UNLINKED 1556/1167 in 2:3 if I am correct. If I buy better MEMORY, will this mean I even get better FPS ???? Hans

| Re: Memory performance !!?? In one short answer, yes. It also improves overall system performance if you haven't already noticed but to a certain extent though. You wont notice much of a performance increase in XP if you upgrade from 2gb to 4gb, also taking in the fact that XP x32 only recognizes 3.25gb of RAM. Vista on the other hand will take all 4gb you throw at it and use it to its advantage. These same concepts apply to games also.

| Re: Memory performance !!?? Thanks for your reply So with 4 GB in VISTA I get more FPS, in comparison with XP and 2 GB...without overclocking my RAM I mean ?? If I keep my system, can I gain FPS with better RAM (2GB) ...which one, ayone !! I am thinking of bying the 8500 processor, it seems it can do easy 4.0 ?? Games like GTR2 and GT Legends like fast processors Hans

| Re: Memory performance !!?? I am back !! I get those tiny stutters when leaving the pits in my race/sims...after ESC and restart again, not a single stutter, so something need time to load. Game runs smooth, but is it possible to get rid of that tiny stutter in the beginning ?? Faster RAM or a faster harddisk ?? Hans
