| Memory Question For P4P800DLX Setup I have a P4P800DLX with a 2.8C processor. I use the computer basically for everyday tasks and as a DVR, so I do some video processing, no gaming. The computer is not OC'ed at all. I own 2 sets of matched ram. 1) 2x 512mb Mushkin Black lvl2 2-2-2-6 2) 2x 1gb Mushkin Blue 2-3-2-6 My question is what would be my best setup: a) 1gb black lvl2 @ 2-2-2-6 with Performance mode enabled b) 2gb blue @ 2-3-2-6 with performance mode enabled c) 3gb @ 2-3-2-6 with no performance mode

| Re: Memory Question For P4P800DLX Setup It's like splitting hairs if you ask me. One way of checking memory bandwidth is to boot into memtest and look at what bandwidth you are getting and compare.

| Re: Memory Question For P4P800DLX Setup Having found a little time to do some comparisons with Memtest 2.01, I've gathered some information. 1 GB Black = 2879 MB/s 2 GB Blue = 2668 MB/s Should bandwidth be my sole deciding factor, or do I gain anything from actually doubling the amount of ram while only losing 211 MB/s of throughput?
