Memory Timing Question

I am a noob at memory timing. Most memory timing has 4 parameters (e.g. 2-3-3-6). My mobo (P4C-800E Deluxe) has the following 5 memory parameters:

- CAS Latency
- RAS Precharge
- RAS -> Delay
- Precharge Delay
- Burst length

How do these 5 parameters relate to the normal 4 that I see? Sorry for the noob question but I could not find adequate info in my searches. Thanks.

Hi. This thread might be of use to you.

For a more detailed explanation of memory settings, I would look at Adrian Wong's BIOS Optimization Guide. Link

most memory timings are set in the following order: CAS Latency, RAS to CAS Delay, RAS Precharge Delay, Active Precharge Delay (aka Cycle Time)

with the ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe mobo they changed the order around in the BIOS

generally lower is better..BUT it all depends on the type of memory you have in your system...I have a P4C800-E Deluxe mobo/Corsair memory and my timings are
2.5-2-3-6-8
