Memory Upgrade

I plan on upgrading my sys. cpu in my sig to a Q9450. I was also considering increasing my memory. I run XP. Can I get any suggestions on what and how much mem would be feasible.

Thank You

Re: Memory Upgrade

Since you run XP, you won't be able to go more than 4GB's. Anything over 4GB's and you have to install and run a 64bit OS.

In that case I will get the same type set I presently have to total 4 gigs. I understand that my sys will only see 3.5 gigs, but I will have enough mem if I should install Vista.

Thanks
