I've received a memory module with chips marked as:
0110 4-2
MT 48LC16M8A2
TG -A B

What does -A mean?
My Win2K system crashes every 30 minutes with this module.

Speed rating should be after the first code you listed..

MT 48LC16M8A2 -??

-75=133 Mhz (PC133 CAS3)
-7E=143 Mhz (PC133 CAS2)

-A appears to be a production code for heat range or something, since [TG]=54-pin TSOP II (400 mil)

Try c'tspd. It'll give you the info you need.

Yes, the site is in German, but the language of the program can be selected once it's installed.

You gotta love em.

P.S.

simmtester (Docmemory) is a different program, but certainly worth the download. Get that one too.

Well... I'd like to know who made it too

Actually, the main problem wasn't in this memory module as I thought. I've built a new system and got new drivers for every piece of my hardware (seems to me it was the fault
My current config is:
MB: ASUS Cusl2-C (BIOS 1006a)
RAM: 2*128MB 1-sided NCP PC-133 (works on 150) + 1*256MB 2-sided Micron PC-133 (I switched it to 100MHz with SDRAm driving mode set to "Strong")
VGA: ASUS V6800 GForce256DDR 32MB (driver v6.47)
Sound: Philips Acoustic Edge (driver v1.39)
LAN: D-Link 530TX+
Modem: Lucent Win Modem (driver v5.97)
CD: Panasonic CW-7585
DVD: ASUS DVD-E612
HDD: Quantum Fireball Plus AS 40GB

Now after a totral reinstallation and reconfiguration Win2K only hangs sometimes after showing shutdown picture (probably the a soundcard driver causes this) .

Cool

Yeah bajo,

The setting to the system is like this: RAM: 2*128MB 1-sided NCP PC-133 (works on 150) + 1*256MB 2-sided Micron PC-133 (I switched it to 100MHz with SDRAm driving mode set to "Strong")

And at the same time he ask about this: Is it really worth to pay a double price to get 10MHz more?

The question must be NUTS, very very NUTS Anyway, Happy Easter

Thumbs up

The only reason why I switched to 100MHz was to test if there is any other reasons to these numerous BSODs. As I see now, the problem wasn't in my new memory modules and not in my new sound card drivers. Actually the reason was in the generic Nvidia Windows2000 v2.50 driver for GForce (was causing BSODs during a screen resulution change, like switching from a game to a desktop or suspending a monitor) and the second reason was in the Lucent Win Modem driver v5.97 that hungs up if I'm trying to shut down Win2000 without disconnecting from the Internet.
So now I run my system on 150MHz bus and I'm pretty happy with it, but I still can not find what speed does "-A B" mark on Micron chips mean. (

Uzito, try to run CTSPD and you can see the deafult CAS & Speed + the maker of your SDRAM modules. What SDRAM setting r u running now (Cas 2-2-2 5/7 or Cas 3-3-3 7/9)? Please let us know the result of CTSPD
