mixing crucial and corsair memory

I have a cusl2-c P3 1000 with 1 stick of corsair 256MB cas 2 memory . I would like to add another stick of crucial 256MB cas2 memory, but I have read some people are having problems when maxing the memory to 512MB. I do not overclock anything on my system and so far it has run perfectly. Am I asking for trouble adding the extra ram, and also is there any problem in mixing ram types, corsair/crucial?
Thank you for your time.

You should have no problem using two 256mb sticks of Crucial or Mushkin. No promises with anything else. Mixing brands may or may not work. There are several excellent posts in this forum dealing with this issue you can locate via the search option.
