Mixing Ram?

This might be a simple question, and i should know this but i will ask anyway just want to make sure

Would it be O.K to mix different ram brands in a system, for example I have 1 gig of OCZ performance ram pc3500 , and a pair 256 mb's of Mushkin BH5 PC3500 LVL II that i had up for auction but didnt sell, cause it did not hit the reserve togther?

will the differnt timmings hurt etc.

Its just gonna lay here collecting dust I guess it might hurt my stability?
I have my rig totaly stable with the settings in my sig.

thanks for your help

I'm pretty sure you'll be limited to the most conservative timing of whatever RAM module you have. I don't thnk it allows separate timings for different modules.
