Exclamation murga

I have a PIII 1GHz. with ASUS CUSL2-C, I bought two sticks of 256MB SDRAM PC133. SiSoft Sandra 2001 detect as:
Transcend Information 256MB 16x(16x8)
SDRAM PC133U-333-524 (CL3 upto 133MHz)

The BIOS (v.1006) detect (default)
CPU Internal frecuency [1000Mhz]
FSB:SDRAM:PCI Freq. Ratio [133/100/33] (Not editable)
Chip Configuration ---> SDRAM Capabilty [PC100]
Chip Configuration ---> SDRAM Operating Mode [PC100]
Chip Configuration ---> SDRAM Timing [By SPD] (3-3-3)
With this configuration the system run fine but memory speed is PC100.If I try this:
CPU Internal frecuency [Manual]
FSB:SDRAM:PCI Freq. Ratio [133/133/33]
Chip Configuration ---> SDRAM Capabilty [PC100]
Chip Configuration ---> SDRAM Operating Mode [PC133]
Chip Configuration ---> SDRAM Timing [By SPD] (3-3-3)
with this configuration windows boot well, but some aplications crash the system.
Is this memory compatible with the motherboard.
Thanks.
Excuse my poor english.

Corroch
it sounds like the board does not like your memory!
these boards are quite notorious for being particular about RAM...if it's only stable at SDRAM = 100, then your RAM is either bad, or just not being used properly by the board..
did you try it with 1 stick at 133????
i would suggest getting some better RAM if possible......
and no worries bout the english, i am english, and still can't figure out some of my posts

Cool

Put it in the First DIMM & Second DIMM. MT is made by Micron. Can you tell the serial of the chip? Just post here all that is written on the MT chip. It is probably not compatible wit CUSL2.

Excuse me cryogen, my second post is wrong, with 1 stick in DIMM 1 BIOS detect the memory speed at PC133, but two sticks at PC100.
Mushkin Rules in the chips put this:

0108 4 - 2
MT 48LC16M8A2
TG - A B

In one side all chips put 4 - 2, but in the other side
firs chip: 1 - 2
second chip: 4 - 2
third chip: 1 - 2
...
...

The sticks have two stickers in one put this:
01/03/19
SD256PC13316X8MT
in the other:
410
200301

Thanks.
