I'm inclined to agree. I've been using Muskin for at least 8 or 9 years and have never had a single bad stick. Muskin is also very good about only changing SKUs when they release a new IC.

Re: Mushkin Memory

A little update, I had to increase memory voltage to 1.96 volts to stabilize the memory, when I used the SPD settings or the performance settings. Noticed, in some games, until I did that I had hard lockups.

I'm running the performance timings right now. Need to download a trial version of Everest and run a memory benchmark.

When I ran Mushkin (and I may do it again), I noticed Mushkin likes volts.

I see the HP series are rated for 1.8 volts while the XP series are rated for 2.1 volts. I also see that the Mushkin forum advisors are always telling people to run 2.0 volts on their RAM. With a bump to 1.96 it shows that Mushkin must like 2.0 volts.

They say, not to increase the Mushkin memory I have over 2.1 volts, or you void the warranty on it.

Here's something else, my Mushkin HP2 6400 2X2GB kits are running fast and stable right now, on 1.8 volts. I had to increase the voltage to 1.96 volts, when I was running AHCI to stabilize things, as AHCI mode, towards last did nothing but cause problems for me, which is why I set my system back to IDE mode, and removed the Intel Matrix Storage drivers.

Mushkin's next set up, the XP series of performance memory can handle 2.0 to 2.25 volts, beyond that you void the warranty of the XP series.
